Job summary

LCH LOGISTICS PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced driver for Prime Movers. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, timely delivery and collection of cargoes, and effective communication with the traffic control team.

The ideal candidate has a Class 4/5 driving license and a minimum of 3 years of experience in Prime Mover driving. Familiarity with PSA procedures and container yard operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Class 4/5 driving license.
• Minimum 3 years of experience driving Prime Movers.
• Familiar with PSA Import/Export/Trucking procedures.

Responsibilities

• Report to traffic control team.
• Maintain radio communication always.
• Ensure timely arrival for delivery and collection of cargoes.
• Check and confirm documentation like delivery notes.
• Endorse permits at customs checkpoint.
• Ensure vehicle maintenance and housekeeping.
• Report any vehicle or cargo damage.
• Check, tally and handle cargoes properly.
• Handle company assets and equipment carefully.
• Report any cargo discrepancies.
• Adhere to safety requirements.
• Any other duties assigned by superior.

Skills

Class 4/5 license

Prime Mover driving experience (min 3 years)

Familiar with PSA Import/Export/Trucking procedures

Familiar with container yard operations

Job description

Job Duties:

• Reporting to traffic control team
• Maintain radio communication always
• Timely arrival for delivery of import cargoes
• Timely arrival for collection of export cargoes
• To check and confirm the documentation e.g. delivery notes, pick up orders etc
• Endorsing of permits at customs checkpoint
• Vehicle maintenance and housekeeping
• Report any vehicle or cargo damage due to accident
• Check, tally and proper handling of cargoes
• Proper handling of company assets and equipment
• Report any cargo discrepancy during course of work
• Adhere to safety requirements while on the job
• Any other duties as per assigned by superior.
