Job summary

Secretary of the Synod of the Diocese of Singapore is seeking a Student Care Teacher to implement and supervise daily teaching and development activities for children in the Student Care Programme.

You will prepare creative lesson plans, supervise homework, and create a safe, engaging learning environment. The role involves liaising with parents and supervisors, maintaining welfare and safety, and helping students develop leadership through service.

Qualifications

• Singaporean/PR status required.
• Able to lead and manage primary school students.
• Able to communicate well with parents and students.
• Some relevant working experience in a related field.
• Energetic and independent character.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute creative lesson plans to entice students into learning.
• Create and supervise a fun and comfortable learning environment.
• Organize school holiday activities and programmes.
• Supervise students to ensure completion of homework and spelling revision.
• Daily administration – attendance.
• Address and counsel student behaviour as needed.
• Ensure students’ welfare and safety are being taken care of.
• Liaise with parents and supervisor to provide feedback on students’ behaviour and learning progress.
• Build up students to be servant leaders.
• Speaks life, Touching Lives, Contributing to Society.
• Conducive working environment.
