Job summary

XCL World Academy in Singapore is seeking a Teacher Partner to provide classroom support for Primary Years students. Qualifications

• Advanced Certification/ Diploma in Early childhood courses or relevant courses.
• Excellent proficiency in English (reading, writing, listening, and speaking).
• Proficient in the use of technology and online applications.
• Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Japanese is a plus to support all students.

Responsibilities

• Directly work with students supporting the teachers daily with the educational programme and leading classroom duties.
• Able to support the students with reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
• Manage and interact with children in a positive and supportive manner and assist in the execution of instructional plans.
• Pick up and drop off students with class teachers for lessons, to the library, cafeteria, bus bay, nurse station, or other facilities.
• Undertake playground supervision per the duty roster, ensuring expectations are consistently reinforced.
• Build on student capabilities and differentiate to meet student needs.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for students' development.
• Work collaboratively with peers, be prepared and on time, and adhere to school norms.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement through formative and summative assessments.
• Involve students in shared reflections during and at the end of each unit.
• Evaluate the programme with teachers, parents, and students as appropriate.
