Talentvis is looking for a pricing specialist for its automotive client. Our client is a well-reknowed international automotive manufacturer.

Job Summary

Serve as a Pricing Specialist responsible for formulating strategic pricing across the entire vehicle lineup in Malaysia. This role requires close collaboration with Demand & Supply teams, cross-functional units, and the local distributor to ensure effective and optimized pricing operations.

Key Responsibilities
1. Pricing Management (Primary Focus)
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, product positioning, promotions, customer profiles, and competitor actions to determine optimal vehicle pricing.
  • Develop and present pricing proposals for new models; drive discussions and gain necessary approvals from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the monthly pricing standard operating procedures, including system price updates and issuance of official pricing notices.
2. Cost Management (Primary Focus)
  • Regularly update profitability tracking sheets, incorporating various cost elements to monitor margins and identify areas for improvement.
  • Perform cost studies to evaluate and track changes in vehicle production costs.
3. Product Planning (Support Role)
  • Assist the distributor in mid-term (up to 5 years) product planning efforts, including defining product strategy, target customer segments, and sales volume objectives.
  • Manage and maintain system data related to vehicle specifications selected by the distributor.
4. Ad-Hoc & Administrative Support
  • Address urgent requests or tasks from internal teams, headquarters, regional offices, or the distributor.
  • Assist in preparing presentation materials and reports for senior management as needed.
Job Requirements
  • Open to diploma holders with 2–3 years of relevant experience, and fresh graduates with a degree.
  • Degree holders with 3–5 years of experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
  • Strong numerical sense with solid analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Effective communicator and team-oriented mindset.
  • Organized and capable of managing multiple deadlines efficiently.
  • Basic understanding or interest in the automotive industry is a plus.
  • Highly responsible, self-driven, and committed to completing tasks.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and work overtime when needed.
