Job summary

My Study Lab is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Tutor to join our team at The Midtown Hougang. You will teach Primary and Secondary students in English, Mathematics and Science, fostering a supportive, collaborative classroom environment.

You will prepare lessons, monitor progress, provide feedback to students and parents, and work with fellow tutors and the operations team to uphold high teaching standards. A university degree or equivalent and familiarity with the Singapore MOE curriculum are

Qualifications

• Minimum university degree or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of English, Mathematics and Science.
• Experience teaching Primary/Secondary students.
• Familiarity with the Singapore MOE curriculum.
• Ability to monitor and report student progress.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging small-group classes of 6–8 students.
• Teach Primary/Secondary English, Mathematics and Science.
• Prepare thoroughly for lessons and review teaching materials.
• Explain concepts clearly and develop students' problem-solving skills.
• Identify individual students' strengths and areas for improvement.
• Monitor students' academic progress and assessment results.
• Provide clear feedback to students and parents.
• Prepare worksheets and resources when required.
• Maintain attendance and student progress records.
• Create a positive, structured classroom environment.
• Work with fellow tutors and operations team to uphold high standards.

About the Role

My Study Lab is looking for an enthusiastic, responsible and dedicated Full-Time Tutor to join our team at The Midtown Hougang.

We are looking for more than just someone who can teach. We want an educator who takes ownership of students' progress, works well as part of a team and genuinely cares about delivering quality education.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with integrity, initiative and a strong sense of responsibility. You should be able to work independently while also being a supportive team player.

What You'll Be Doing

• Conduct engaging small-group classes of approximately 6–8 students

• Teach Primary and/or Secondary English, Mathematics and Science

• Prepare thoroughly for lessons and familiarise yourself with teaching materials

• Explain concepts clearly and develop students' problem-solving and examination skills

• Identify individual students' strengths and areas for improvement

• Monitor students' academic progress and assessment results

• Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and parents

• Prepare worksheets, lesson materials and supplementary resources when required

• Maintain accurate attendance and student progress records

• Create a positive, structured and encouraging classroom environment

• Take ownership of your assigned classes and students

• Work closely with fellow tutors and the operations team to maintain high teaching standards

Who We're Looking For

• Minimum University Degree or equivalent qualification

• Strong competency in English, Mathematics and/or Science

• Experience teaching or tutoring Primary and/or Secondary students

• Good knowledge of the Singapore MOE curriculum

• Familiarity with MOE examination formats and requirements

• Ability to explain difficult concepts in a simple and effective way

• Good classroom management and communication skills

• Reliable, punctual, organised and responsible

• Genuine passion for helping students improve
