Job summary

A leading printing company in Singapore is seeking a Supervisor to oversee printing staff and ensure quality control in print production. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a printing plant and be well-versed in prepress to print workflows. Responsibilities include monitoring production schedules, training new employees, and maintaining safety and cleanliness standards in the printing area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as Supervisor or 5 years as a senior operator in printing.
• Familiar with prepress to print workflow.
• Hands-on experience with various sheetfed printing press brands.

Job description

Job Description:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of printing staff across shifts.

• Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of print jobs.

• Inspect printed materials for quality assurance and ensure compliance with specifications.

• Maintain and troubleshoot printing equipment to minimize downtime.

• Train new employees on printing processes, safety protocols, and equipment usage.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

• Maintain inventory of printing supplies and place orders as needed.

• Implement and enforce safety and cleanliness standards in the printing area.

• Prepare reports on production output, quality issues, and staff performance.

• Ensure 5S is well maintain and workplace safety SOP is observed at all time

• Work with Quality Assurance (QA) department to provide root cause analysis and preventive action for quality non-conformance

Requirements:

• Min 3 years' experience work as Supervisor or section head in a printing plant/Min 5 years' experience work as lead/senior operating in Sheetfed printing.

• Well verse in prepress to print workflow is a must

• Must be familiar with operating common sheetfed printing press brands eg. MITSUBISHI, RYOBI MHI, Heidelberg, ManRoland, KBA, Komori.

• Candidate with hands on experience in managing Forgra PSO certification or possess a G7 certificate will be an advantage.

• Able to work shift.
