Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in a pre-school setting.
  • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role (Senior Teacher/Lead Teacher/Vice-Principal).
  • Knowledge in curriculum and teaching pedagogy required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan curriculum and mentor teachers in pedagogy.
  • Manage daily rostering and centre resources.
  • Assist Principal with SPARKs and Licensing submissions.

Job Description:

You will be part of the management team setting the direction for parent partnership, community engagement and talent management. Your experience, knowledge and expertise will be highly valued in the implementation of centre programs, initiatives, and events.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum planning and professional matters, providing inputs and perspectives, and mentoring teachers in areas of pedagogy, delivery and use of tools and resources
  • Management and optimisation of centre resources e.g., daily rostering, inventory management, controllable expenses
  • Handle centre administrative matters
  • Assist Principal in collating documents for SPARKs and Licensing submissions.
  • Ensure that Teachers are carrying out the centre curriculum and using positive reinforcements with the children as per ECDA guidelines.
  • Answer parents queries
  • Lead and follow up on centre event planning
  • Assist and update Principal with any other relevant responsibilities on the management of the centre.

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Early Childhood with at least 4-6 years of relevant experience in a pre-school setting
  • Minimum 2 years of exposure in a supervisory role ie. Senior Teacher/Lead Teacher/Vice-Principal
  • Diploma in Pre-school Education-Leadership (DPL) is an added advantage
  • Demonstrated knowledge in curriculum and teaching pedagogy
  • Hands-on experience in mentoring and coaching educators towards quality teaching practices
  • Involvement in SPARK Accreditation process has an added advantage
