Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons aligned with the centre’s curriculum and learning goals.
- Support children’s development in the areas of language, numeracy, social-emotional skills, and motor coordination.
- Observe and document children’s progress through portfolios, learning stories, or developmental checklists.
- Maintain a warm, nurturing, and safe classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and respectful relationships.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and centre leadership in lesson planning, event coordination, and project work.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents, including informal check-ins and scheduled conferences.
- Ensure daily routines (snack time, toileting, transitions) are carried out in a caring and developmentally appropriate manner.
- Support children with varying needs and ensure inclusion for all.
Requirements
- Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (DECCE-T or equivalent)
- ECDA certified (L2 preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience preferred
- Passionate about working with young children
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Bilingual proficiency (optional: include if your programme requires Mandarin or other languages)
