Job summary

MindChamps Performing Arts International Preschool @ Upper Thomson PTE. LTD is seeking a dedicated teacher to plan, supervise and deliver the MindChamps program in line with our policy and philosophy at Upper Thomson.

The role requires a DECCE-T diploma, creative energy, excellent communication and classroom management to support each child’s development. You will maintain progress records, prepare reports, engage with parents weekly, mentor assistants, and contribute to a friendly,

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and deliver MindChamps program per policy and philosophy.
• Prepare age-appropriate teaching aids and programs.
• Keep accurate records of children’s progress and address needs.
• Complete progress reports and develop developmental portfolios.
• Communicate with parents weekly and through conferences.
• Meet parents to address concerns.
• Apply positive discipline techniques.
• Guide and supervise the Assistant Teacher.
• Render basic first aid when necessary.
• Maintain teaching resources, classroom decor, and environment.
• Be familiar with curriculum documents and policies.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan, supervise and deliver the program in accordance with the policies, guidelines, frameworks and philosophy of MindChamps.
• Prepare and implement the programs and age-appropriate teaching aids.
• Keep accurate records of children’s progress and address the children's educational and developmental needs individually.
• Complete the progress reports of the children for each semester and prepare a developmental portfolio for every child.
• Communicate with parents via the Connection Book at least once a week, weekly team newsletters and conferences.
• Meet the parents to address any concerns.
• Use positive discipline techniques at all times.
• Guide and supervise the Assistant Teacher in the classroom.
• Render basic first aid as and when necessary.
• Responsible for the upkeep of teaching resources, arrangement, appearance, decorations, and learning environment of the classroom.
• Be familiarised with all working curriculum documents, handbooks and policy manuals.
