Bucket House Preschool Education Pte Ltd is seeking a dedicated preschool teacher to foster a child-centered learning environment inspired by Reggio Emilia. You will design and implement inquiry-based lessons, co-design activities with children, and document learning progress with portfolios and media.

The role emphasizes collaboration with staff and leadership, strong communication with parents, and a commitment to continuous professional development in a nurturing, flexible culture.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education or L2 equivalent.
• Experience in preschool teaching is preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Open to learning the Reggio Emilia approach and adaptable to change.
• Receptive to feedback and suggestions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Child-Centered Education:

• Facilitate a child-centered learning environment influenced by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.
• Respect children's agency by co-designing learning experiences based on their interests and developmental needs.

Curriculum Planning and Implementation:

• Design and implement inquiry-based lessons aligned with school frameworks.
• Encourage active exploration and participation through provocations and emergent curriculum.
• Implement school-specific programs like language immersion (readers and phonics).

Quality Learning Environment:

• Maintain and enhance classroom aesthetics to support engaging, safe, and nurturing spaces.
• Source and curate appropriate teaching materials to enrich the learning process.

Student Observation and Documentation:

• Observe and document children's learning through detailed portfolios, photographs, videos, and written records.
• Use documentation to assess developmental milestones and support parent-teacher conferences.

Collaboration and Professionalism:

• Work collaboratively with peers, support staff, and leadership to ensure a cohesive learning experience.
• Participate in continuous professional development, embracing innovative practices.

Parental Engagement:

• Build strong partnerships with parents through regular communication, involving them in the learning process, and providing progress updates.

REQUIREMENTS

• Candidate who demonstrate passion, creativity and is constantly on the ground with children.
• Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education / L2 Cert
• At least 1 year of teaching experience in a preschool setting is preferred.
• Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and in a team
• Open-minded, willingness to learn about the Reggio Emilia approach to teaching and adaptable to change.
• Receptive to feedback and suggestions.
