Job summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare healthy meals, snacks, and beverages for children in line with HMCCP guidelines
  • Ensure food is served in a clean, safe, and inviting environment.
  • Maintain high hygiene standards during food preparation, handling, and serving.
  • Ensure meals are sufficient in quantity, with portions available for additional servings if needed.
  • Keep the kitchen clean and organized by following a daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklist.
  • Manage grocery and kitchen equipment purchases with the approval of the Head of School.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in designated areas of the school, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for children and staff.
  • Support the smooth operation of the centre by assisting with other duties as required by campus leadership.

Requirements

  • Certification: WSQ Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (required)
  • Experience: Prior experience in childcare centres or hospitality (e.g. hotel/restaurant kitchens) is highly preferred
  • Skills:
  • Knowledge of child nutrition and food safety
  • Ability to cook efficiently for large groups
  • Strong sense of cleanliness, responsibility, and organization
  • Language Proficiency: Able to communicate in English
