Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd in Singapore is hiring a Presales Solution Architect to lead solution design and technical qualification across the presales pipeline. You will translate client requirements into credible, costed architectures and collaborate with sales to shape bid strategy.

We value eight-plus years IT experience, knowledge of web/mobile stacks, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and experience with bid/tender responses, PoCs, and technical demos.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Cloud architecture certification (e.g. AWS, Azure or GCP Solutions Architect); TOGAF or equivalent
• At least 8 years IT industry experience, including 2+ years in presales/solution consulting/architecture involving bids

Responsibilities

• Qualify incoming BQs/RFQs/RFPs/tenders for technical fit and win probability.
• Design solution architectures and win themes for proposals and tenders.
• Produce effort estimates, man-days, and technical costing for bids.
• Lead technical response sections and coordinate contributions from delivery and vendor partners.
• Run PoCs, technical demos, and clarification sessions with prospective clients.
• Collaborate with sales to shape deal strategy, pricing, and differentiation.
• Hand over won opportunities to delivery teams with clear estimates.

What will you do?

The Presales Solution Architect leads solution design and technical qualification across TSO's presales pipeline (BQs, RFQs, RFPs and tenders). Reporting to the Senior Delivery Director, the role translates prospective client requirements into technically credible, costed and winnable solution architectures, partners with the sales/BD team to shape bid strategy and win themes, and hands off qualified opportunities to delivery teams with clear architecture, assumptions and estimates.

• Qualify incoming BQs, RFQs, RFPs and tenders for technical fit, feasibility and win probability.
• Design solution architectures and technical win themes for proposals, from concept sketches to full solution architecture diagrams.
• Produce effort estimates, man-days estimates and technical costing inputs for bids.
• Lead technical response sections of proposals, tenders and RFQ decks; coordinate contributions from delivery, engineering and vendor partners.
• Run or support PoCs, technical demos and clarification sessions with prospective clients during the bid process.
• Partner with sales/BD to shape deal strategy, pricing structure and competitive differentiation
• Hand over won opportunities to delivery teams with clear architecture, assumptions and estimate rationale.
• Maintain a reusable library of solution patterns, estimation benchmarks and proposal collateral to speed up future bids

Requirements

Domain Skills

• Solution architecture across web/mobile application stacks, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), integrations and data.
• Effort estimation, costing and man-days modelling methodologies for software delivery bids.
• Bid and tender response writing; technical proposal and solution document development.
• Familiarity with public-sector procurement processes and formats (e.g. GeBIZ, BQ/RFQ/RFP) is an advantage.
• Competitive and technology/vendor evaluation to select the best-fit stack for a bid's requirements, timeline and budget

Non-Domain Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate technical solutions into compelling client-facing narratives.
• Strong stakeholder management with sales, delivery teams and prospective clients.
• Comfortable working to tight bid deadlines and under ambiguity.
• Persuasive presentation and storytelling skills

Education and Certification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Cloud architecture certification (e.g. AWS, Azure or GCP Solutions Architect); TOGAF or equivalent

Working Experience

Compulsory: At least 8 years of IT industry experience, including 2+ years in a presales, solution consulting or architecture role involving bid/tender responses.

Desirable: Singapore public-sector bid experience (e.g. GeBIZ tenders); exposure to AI-enabled solutioning.
