Our Opportunity:

This role supports (Cyber Security Product - CSP) Data Security products and solutions. The incumbent will work closely with the sales team to advocate Thales CSP solutions and deliver the business targets assigned. The candidate needs to be able to secure CAT-1 clearance due to the nature of working on government projects.

Responsibilities:
  1. Render presales technical support to the local sales team, working closely with the account team to drive business growth on assigned accounts and territory.
  2. Discover and qualify customer business and technical requirements, proposing the best fitting Thales security solutions to address customer pain points and project needs.
  3. Collaborate with the entire Thales CSP team (Marketing, Operations…) to advocate Thales CSP products and solutions in the customer space.
  4. Serve as a technical advisor to customers, guiding them on security best practices and industry compliance, supporting customer digital transformation with Thales security solutions.
  5. Prepare technical proposals and solution architecture documents for customer projects and RFPs.
  6. Conduct technical workshops and training for customers and partners, enabling customer know-how and adoption of Thales security solutions.
  7. Gather customer feedback and collaborate with the product manager on product enhancements.
  8. Deliver product installations and configurations required for customer testing, supporting customer POCs.
  9. Support partner product integration and certification testing.
Requirements:
  1. A degree in a computer-related field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Systems Analysis, etc.) or a similar discipline. Any additional business-related education would be a plus.
  2. At least 10 years of experience in IT practice, ideally in IT Security, working as a pre-sales or consultancy in a technical customer-facing role.
  3. Strong knowledge of the Government domain is preferred.
  4. Proven experience in technical solutions and architecture roles, partnering with sales teams to deliver successful IT security solutions for large customers and organizations.
  5. Strong knowledge of database queries and cryptographic standards like PKCS, JCE, and PKI.
  6. Knowledge of public cloud services is a plus.
  7. Experience and domain knowledge of database activity monitoring, database firewall, data protection technologies including encryption solutions such as database encryption, file/OS and VM encryption, PII tokenization/anonymization, data loss prevention, PKI, etc.
  8. Knowledge of DevOps environments and secret management is a plus.
  9. Able to prioritize and deliver technical support for customer opportunities in a timely manner.
  10. Strong presentation skills to advocate Thales solutions to senior stakeholders and executives.
  11. Business-centric mindset and a passion for customer success, working closely with sales to refine Thales' value proposition and go-to-market strategies.
  12. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  13. A CISSP or equivalent IT Security Body of Knowledge qualification would be advantageous.
