Job summary

Sembcorp Utilities Services Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to monitor and optimise the health of plant equipment across power generation and utility plants.

You will apply condition monitoring, data analytics and reliability engineering to minimise downtime and extend asset life. In this role you will collaborate with maintenance engineers and technicians, develop recovery plans based on findings, and contribute to AI analytics initiatives for early warning signs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 3 years in a process plant environment (Utilities, Oil & Gas, Chemicals).
• Experience in condition monitoring, rotating and static equipment diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Monitor health and performance of plant equipment via condition monitoring and data analytics.
• Identify developing failures and recommend preventive or corrective measures.
• Optimise maintenance strategies and plans to improve reliability and minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with maintenance engineers to develop equipment recovery plans based on findings.
• Develop and own condition monitoring programmes, including trends and analytics for visibility of equipment health.
• Monitor industry trends in condition monitoring technologies.
• Develop AI analytics for early warning signs of failure and respond to alerts with digital team.
• Support root cause analysis or failure investigations through data analytics.
• Identify recurring failure modes and propose improvements to reduce repeats.
• Support maintenance planners in cross-plant synergies.
• This role will be primarily responsible for mechanical systems in power generation and utility plants.
