Job summary

Linea Law LLC, a Singapore-based firm established in 2013, invites applications for a full-time Practice Trainee commencing January 2027. The role supports lawyers in research, drafting, and court filings, with exposure to diverse practice areas.

Training follows a hybrid model combining in-office and some remote work, based mainly at High Street Centre. You will be mentored by supervising solicitors and gain hands-on experience in civil and commercial litigation, family law, corporate advisory,

Qualifications

• Completed or near completion of a recognised law degree and meeting eligibility requirements for practice training in Singapore.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret statutes, case law, and legal texts accurately.
• Proficiency in legal drafting, including pleadings, affidavits, contract clauses, and client correspondence.
• Attention to detail in reviewing documents, preparing bundles, and ensuring accuracy in filings and case management.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including clear, professional interaction with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple matters concurrently, prioritise tasks, and work reliably under supervision and within deadlines.
• Strong ethical judgment, professionalism, and commitment to client confidentiality and compliance with applicable rules of professional conduct.
• Comfort with standard office software and legal research platforms; familiarity with litigation procedures in Singapore is an advantage.
• Interest in one or more of the firm’s key practice areas (e.g., civil and commercial litigation, family law, corporate advisory, and employment disputes).

Responsibilities

• Support lawyers in legal research, drafting legal documents, preparing court and filing papers, and reviewing case materials.
• Assist with client matters, organise and maintain case files, prepare bundles, and attend meetings or hearings when appropriate.
• Liaise with court staff and external parties as directed, observing professional conduct and contributing to team-based case strategy discussions.
• Learn and apply practical skills across the firm’s core practice areas under supervision.
• Be based predominantly at the branch office located at High Street Centre.

The firm has recently expanded and is looking for a Practice Trainee to commence training in January 2027 to support its growth.

Role Description

This is a full-time Practice Trainee role (commencing 2027) based in Singapore, on a hybrid work arrangement that combines in-office training with some work-from-home flexibility. The Practice Trainee will support lawyers in legal research, drafting legal documents, preparing court and filing papers, and reviewing case materials.
