Job summary

ASCENDION ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced PowerCARD Specialist/Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance the PowerCARD payment platform.

You will handle implementation, configuration, development, integration, and production support for card issuing, acquiring, switching, and payment processing solutions. Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience supporting or developing HPS PowerCARD solutions.
• Strong understanding of card payment processing, issuing, acquiring, and switching.
• Experience with Oracle Database and SQL/PLSQL.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
• Experience with API integration, web services, and middleware platforms.
• Understanding of ISO 8583 messaging standards.
• Experience in production support and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for the PowerCARD platform.
• Monitor production systems and troubleshoot incidents to ensure high service availability.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.
• Support system upgrades, patches, and release deployments.
• Manage incidents, problem tickets, and service requests within agreed SLAs.
• Configure and customize PowerCARD modules based on business requirements.
• Develop enhancements, interfaces, and integrations with external systems.
• Support card lifecycle management including issuance, activation, renewal, replacement, and closure.
• Implement new products, card schemes, and payment services on the PowerCARD platform.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
• Integrate PowerCARD with core banking systems, payment gateways, third-party vendors, and card scheme networks.
• Support ISO 8583 message mapping, transaction routing, and payment processing requirements.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
• Participate in end-to-end system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
• Ensure system compliance with PCI-DSS, regulatory, and security standards.
• Monitor system performance and recommend optimization opportunities.
• Support audit and compliance requirements related to card payment systems.
• Maintain operational documentation, system diagrams, and support procedures.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience supporting or developing HPS PowerCARD solutions.
• Strong understanding of card payment processing, card issuing, acquiring, and transaction switching.
• Experience with Oracle Database and SQL/PLSQL.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
• Experience with API integration, web services, and middleware platforms.
• Understanding of ISO 8583 messaging standards.
• Experience in production support and incident management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in banking, financial services, or payment processing environments.
• Knowledge of Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay, JCB, or other card scheme operations.
• Experience supporting EMV, contactless, and digital payment solutions.
• Familiarity with PCI-DSS compliance requirements.
• Exposure to Agile or DevOps delivery methodologies.
