The Lee Kuan Yew School is a leading school of public policy with an international faculty and student body. CAG was established in 2006 to provide accurate, independent, and high-quality analysis on issues of regional and global significance for academia, decision-makers, commentators, and the general public. Its current research agenda focuses on the prospects of regional and global order; the future of economic globalisation/de-globalisation and their impact on Asia; the alignment postures of Southeast Asia in an era of superpower competition; and the impact of technology and artificial intelligence on international politics.

The Postdoctoral Fellow will conduct independent, in-depth, and publishable research on issues related to the Bay of Bengal or Indo-Pacific region and contribute to the Centre’s work on conducting in-depth research on developments in Asia.

The Fellow would be expected to produce either (i) an original monograph of 30,000 words or (ii) two reports or journal articles during their stay. In addition, s/he would be expected to write at least one op-ed for a leading regional newspaper and a short think-piece for the Centre’s publications.

We envisage the Fellow as participating actively in the Centre’s various activities and being a presence in the intellectual life of the School. The Fellow will deliver one public talk on her/his research and reach out to the policy and think tank community of Singapore.
