Job summary

MSD in Singapore seeks a Postdoctoral Fellow in AI/ML for Tissue Analytics to advance biomarker research at the Biopolis laboratory. You will design and deploy AI/ML models for tissue analytics and computational pathology, contributing to translational research and drug discovery.

The role offers collaboration with data science, biology, and translational medicine teams, with opportunities to publish and expand an international scientific network.

Qualifications

• PhD degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, Computational Biology, Physics, or related discipline.
• Track record of scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals or presentations at leading scientific conferences.
• Strong background in ML/DL including foundation models, multimodal learning, generative AI, transformers, self-supervised learning.
• Hands-on experience in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
• Experience with digital pathology, tissue imaging, and computational pathology is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, validate, and deploy AI/ML models for tissue analytics and computational pathology.
• Develop advanced ML methodologies including foundation models and multimodal learning to extract biological insights.
• Formulate hypotheses, design computational studies, and interpret AI/ML findings for disease biology and drug discovery.
• Collaborate with data science, pathology, biology, translational research, and external partners.
• Disseminate scientific advances through publications, reports, and conferences.
