Job summary

NATi, hosted by A*STAR, is seeking a highly agile Portfolio Manager, Life Sciences to shape and advance a diverse portfolio of biotech assets from discovery to translational and commercial inflection points.

The role requires scientific depth, commercial acumen, and strategic execution skills, with experience in due diligence, IP strategy, stakeholder engagement, and grants management. Ophthalmology exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

PhD in life sciences or related field.
Significant venture capital, consulting, biotech or pharma experience.
Proven track record in commercial due diligence and portfolio analysis.
Hands-on IP strategy experience in biotech or translational settings.
Strong stakeholder management across academia, industry, investors and gov funding bodies.
Experience managing or supporting grant-funded programs.
Not required but preferable ophthalmology experience.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end portfolio management across biotech programs and initiatives.
Evaluate assets for go/no-go decisions and portfolio optimisation.
Collaborate with scientific, clinical and operational teams to hit milestones.
Conduct commercial due diligence including market sizing and competitive landscape.
Support investment, partnering or spin-out decisions with integrated insights.
Engage advisors and industry partners to validate assumptions.
