Job summary

ACHIEVE CAREER CONSULTANT PTE LTD, on behalf of a leading global institutional investment firm in Singapore, seeks an experienced Commodities Portfolio Manager to oversee a discretionary portfolio across energy, metals and agriculture.

You will generate alpha by actively managing exposures, translating macro and fundamental views into appropriately sized and hedged positions, and using derivatives to express investment views and control portfolio risk.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5-10 years of commodities trading and/or portfolio management experience.
• Track record managing or trading a discretionary commodities portfolio with P&L responsibility.
• Broad cross-commodity experience across energy, metals and agriculture.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage a discretionary commodities portfolio across energy, base metals, precious metals and agriculture
• Generate alpha through active management of commodity exposures across broad commodity indices and individual markets
• Translate macroeconomic and fundamental views into appropriately sized and hedged commodity positions
• Manage exposure to broad commodity benchmarks and their respective sub-indices
• Identify and execute opportunities across outright, relative-value, spread, curve and volatility strategies
• Utilise derivatives including futures, swaps and options to express investment views and manage portfolio risk.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Approximately 5-10 years of commodities trading and/or portfolio management experience
• Demonstrated track record managing or trading a discretionary commodities portfolio with P&L responsibility
• Strong cross-commodity experience across energy, metals and agriculture
• Broad commodities exposure is preferred over deep specialisation within only one commodity or market.
