Regional Construction Director - Datacentres

Highly experienced DC Construction Director needed to manage the strategic planning, construction, execution, and delivery of complex, large hyperscale data centres. This role will lead a team of project managers, ensuring the successful and efficient development and deployment of next-generation hyperscale data center infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall project management strategy for the design, construction, and deployment of hyperscale data centers, aligning with the company's strategic objectives and growth plans.
• Define scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders, including engineering, operations, real estate, and finance.
• Establish and maintain project governance frameworks, standards, and best practices to ensure consistent and efficient project execution across all projects.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of project managers, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
• Define roles and responsibilities within the project management team, ensuring clear accountability and effective resource allocation.
• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of multiple, complex data center projects, ensuring on-time, within-budget, and to-quality delivery.
• Establish and monitor key program performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, providing regular reports to senior leadership on program status, risks, and issues.
• Establish and maintain project goals, objectives, and priorities in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum 20 years experience in construction / project management, with a focus on data centre construction
• Extensive experience managing large-scale, complex infrastructure projects, preferably in a hyperscale data center environment.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering data center projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience building and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, networking, and security systems.
