Highly experienced DC Construction Director needed to manage the strategic planning, construction, execution, and delivery of complex, large hyperscale data centres. This role will lead a team of project managers, ensuring the successful and efficient development and deployment of next-generation hyperscale data center infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement the overall project management strategy for the design, construction, and deployment of hyperscale data centers, aligning with the company's strategic objectives and growth plans.
Define scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders, including engineering, operations, real estate, and finance.
Establish and maintain project governance frameworks, standards, and best practices to ensure consistent and efficient project execution across all projects.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of project managers, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
Define roles and responsibilities within the project management team, ensuring clear accountability and effective resource allocation.
Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of multiple, complex data center projects, ensuring on-time, within-budget, and to-quality delivery.
Establish and monitor key program performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, providing regular reports to senior leadership on program status, risks, and issues.
Establish and maintain project goals, objectives, and priorities in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
Minimum 20 years experience in construction / project management, with a focus on data centre construction
Extensive experience managing large-scale, complex infrastructure projects, preferably in a hyperscale data center environment.
Proven track record of successfully delivering data center projects on time and within budget.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience building and developing high-performing teams.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
Deep understanding of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, networking, and security systems.
