Micron Technology is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Policy Advocacy Manager, Asia. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the government and public affairs country teams in Asia in shaping the company’s policy positions, identifying strategic opportunities to amplify the company's leadership and brand that reaches key government stakeholders, and lead the plans and actions for public policy and thought leadership initiatives and programs for the Asia Pacific region. Your responsibilities will include identifying and enabling effective communication of the company's public policy positions and managing thought leadership programs to enhance industry presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Public Policy Development: Develop plans and materials for the purpose of amplifying and communicating the company’s public policy positions in alignment with organizational goals and values
  • Policy advocacy: Work in alignment with global team to support country government and public affairs teams to advance policy advocacy to targeted external stakeholders, including government agencies, industry associations, non-governmental organizations and the public, to convey the company’s public policy positions effectively
  • Advocacy Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to develop advocacy strategies and key issues strategies that support the company’s policy objectives and business goals and showcase the company’s expertise, positioning the organization as an industry leader
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant legislative and regulatory developments, ensuring the company’s compliance and proactive engagements in relevant policy discussions
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work in coordination with global and country government and public affairs teams to identify, cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with key external stakeholders to build awareness of the nature of our business, and the benefits it brings to the region.
  • Regional Collaboration: Drive collaboration across the government and public affairs teams in Asia Pacific to ensure a unified regional approach by managing administrative infrastructure such as regional budgets, team meetings and tracking of key performance indicators.
  • Communication Materials: Create persuasive communication materials, including whitepapers, press releases, speeches, and op-eds to convey the company’s policy positions and advocacy initiatives.
  • Executive Engagement: Develop and coordinate opportunities for executive engagements on key topics with government officials, including high-level political visits. Prepare briefs and other materials to inform and support the company's policy positions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Public Affairs Metrics: Track key performance indicators to assess the impact of public affairs efforts and adjust strategies accordingly

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs, Public Policy, Government Affairs, Political Science, or a related field.
  • 5-6 years of professional experience in public & government affairs, with a strong track record of success
  • Exceptional communication and advocacy skills, with the ability to convey complex policy issues to diverse audience
  • Demonstrated experience in thought leadership program management and strong organizational s
  • Strong analytical & research skills to stay informed about relevant policy developments
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building abilities
  • Proven ability to work independently and strong team work culture
