Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Podiatrist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized care for a variety of foot and lower limb conditions, catering to patients of all ages. This role involves assessment, diagnosis, management, and prevention of foot-related disorders while promoting overall mobility and health.
Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical Care
· Assess, diagnose, and manage conditions related to the foot, ankle, and lower limbs (e.g., plantar fasciitis, bunions, ingrown toenails, diabetic foot complications).
· Perform biomechanical assessments and gait analyses to identify and address abnormalities.
· Provide custom orthotic prescriptions and modifications based on individual patient needs.
· Conduct minor surgical procedures, including nail avulsion procedures and wart removal, when required.
2. Patient Education & Communication
· Educate patients on foot health, preventive care, and proper footwear choices.
· Develop individualized treatment plans and ensure patients understand their care options.
· Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals (e.g., physiotherapists, orthopaedic doctors) to provide holistic care.
3. Specialized Services
· Manage diabetic foot care and implement strategies to prevent complications.
· Provide pediatric podiatry care, addressing conditions such as flat feet and growing pains.
· Offer sports injury management and rehabilitation services tailored to athletes.
4. Administrative Duties
· Maintain accurate patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
· Participate in clinic-wide meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
· Stay updated on advancements in podiatry practices, tools, and treatments.
Requirements
· Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Podiatry from a recognized institution.
· Valid registration with Podiatry Association in Singapore
· Proven experience in managing a range of podiatric conditions, including sports injuries, diabetic foot care, and pediatric concerns.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
