About the Role
We are seeking a proactive PMSS Engineer to drive preventive maintenance excellence across enterprise network and hardware environments. This role serves as a key enabler in sustaining system resilience, optimizing performance, and supporting business-critical infrastructure through structured maintenance cycles and on‑site support.
Key Responsibilities
Preventive Maintenance Operations
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance for network and server hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless devices, racks, and related infrastructure.
- Perform health checks, firmware reviews, performance baselining, and hardware diagnostics.
- Conduct environmental inspections covering cabling, power, cooling, and rack conditions.
Corrective & On‑Site Support
- Deliver on‑site troubleshooting aligned with SLA requirements.
- Support incident isolation, root cause identification, and escalation to OEM vendors when required.
- Coordinate RMA activities, parts replacement, and logistics planning.
Risk Management & Optimization
- Identify early signs of hardware degradation and recommend proactive actions.
- Provide capacity insights, lifecycle tracking, and upgrade advisories for EOL/EOFS equipment.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure network stability and continuity.
Governance, Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain comprehensive preventive maintenance logs and compliance records.
- Prepare maintenance reports, asset updates, and optimization recommendations for stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to operational standards, security guidelines, and contractual obligations.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
- Strong hands‑on experience with network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, HPE, Huawei).
- Familiarity with troubleshooting methodologies across LAN, WLAN, and basic server hardware.
- Good understanding of firmware management, hardware diagnostics, and RMA workflows.
- Ability to interpret network diagrams, asset lists, and maintenance checklists.
- Strong communication skills and a client‑centric mindset.
- Willingness to perform scheduled on‑site visits and occasional after‑hours maintenance.
Added Advantages
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent.
- Experience supporting enterprise, government, or manufacturing network environments.
- Exposure to service delivery or PMO environments.
