Job Description
The Project Management Officer (PMO) provides a range of support services to the Engagement Managers to govern our engagements, plan and track them, report progress, manage issues and risks, control change, manage deliverables and quality, track obligations, adhere to our contractual and commercial constraints, manage our finances, and keep electronic records of our activities.
Key Responsibilities
People & Talent
- Being a senior member of the PMO team, they will be required to share best practices across the team and mentor junior members to ensure their growth as PMOs.
- Strong leadership is essential as a senior team member due to engagement with senior management.
Risk Management
- Present financial details to RF with variances (underspends/overspends).
- Monitor Risk and Issues Registers, ensuring consistent risk and issue management across the Hive, Sub-domain, or Domain. Be proactive in raising/validating risks related to financials, governance, HC, and benefits.
- Support CPOs in responding to audits, GIA, and external audits.
Grade Specific Responsibilities
- Support governance and reporting for a consolidated view across the Hive, Sub-domain, or Domain leadership.
- Report any major changes to the product backlog within a 90-day cycle to RF for approval and submit impacts on OKRs, cost, and timelines for quarterly reviews.
Business
- Manage finances, supporting the Chief PO and Hive Tech Lead with reports, variance analysis, and cost plans.
- Align initiatives, product backlog, and costs with approved QPRs.
- Ensure all SOWs/contractual agreements are in place for vendor procurement and manage vendor payments.
- Engage with Country Finance teams to understand regional budget requirements.
- Track invoicing and transfer of costs until purchase order closure.
Processes
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and simplification.
- Ensure effective time management to meet deadlines and maintain forecasting accuracy.
- Document processes clearly for transparency and stakeholder understanding.
