Summary:
We are seeking a responsible and skilled Plumbing Technician to manage, maintain, and repair all plumbing systems within a large-scale dormitory environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for both corrective and preventive maintenance, including the inspection, servicing, and repair of water supply systems, drainage systems, sanitary fixtures, and water storage tanks. Familiarity with Singapore's local regulatory requirements is essential, and holding a Licensed Plumber certification (under PUB) will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all plumbing systems, water tanks, and related infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, blockages, pipe replacements, and malfunctioning fittings or fixtures
- Conduct water tank cleaning, disinfection, and scheduled maintenance in accordance with PUB and NEA guidelines
- Ensure all plumbing installations and repairs comply with Singapore’s regulatory standards (e.g., PUB codes, BCA requirements)
- Maintain proper records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs using the internal maintenance management system or logbooks
- Respond to emergency plumbing issues promptly and effectively, including after-hours support if required
- Coordinate with contractors or licensed plumbers for major works or compliance-related upgrades
- Assist in routine audits, inspections, and regulatory submissions related to water and plumbing systems
- Collaborate with other facilities and housekeeping staff to ensure holistic maintenance and operational efficiency
Requirements:
- Minimum NITEC in Plumbing, Mechanical Services, Building Services, or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in plumbing maintenance, preferably in dormitory, hostel, or commercial facilities
- Possess working knowledge of PUB’s Code of Practice on Water Services and local regulatory requirements
- Licensed Plumber certification from PUB is preferred and will be considered an advantage
- Familiar with water tank maintenance procedures and safety practices
- Able to work independently, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Physically fit and willing to work in a hands-on role, including outdoor and rooftop environments
