The role focuses on developing and programming PLC software for electrical propulsion systems and supporting vessel commissioning activities. The candidate will prepare technical docs and help set up testing facilities.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Automation or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Familiar with PLC
• Knowledge or experience in power electronics, motor drives and marine propulsion systems will be an added advantage.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including software architecture, logic flow diagrams, test procedures, quality control documents and other relevant supporting materials.
• Develop and programme PLC software and control algorithms for electrical propulsion systems.
• Participate in commissioning projects, providing technical support for vessels with similar configurations.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues relating to delivered solutions during vessel commissioning.
• Develop and implement innovative green marine solutions to support the company's business objectives and reduce the marine industry's carbon footprint.
• Take a hands-on role in setting up and establishing the test laboratory to support product development, testing and validation.
• Carry out other ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Our client is a marine and offshore industry . Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a PLC & Commissioning Engineer to be part of their Team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the West - easily accessible. (Company Transport Provided)
