Job summary

Squarepoint is seeking a Platform Storage Specialist to join our global team in Singapore. You will design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade storage services, spanning on‑premises, NAS, object storage, and cloud platforms, while ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.

The role emphasizes automation, capacity planning, and observability, with collaboration across compute, network, and application teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technology infra role focused on storage administration.
• Deep expertise with NFS, GPFS, WEKA, Lustre, Ceph or similar storage protocols.
• Experience with storage performance analysis and optimization.
• Proficient in Python or other high‑level languages for automation.
• Experience with CI/CD and version control practices.
• Observability experience (Elasticsearch, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Experience with cloud storage across AWS and GCP.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage distributed storage systems at scale.
• Architect and maintain high‑performance storage solutions (NFS, GPFS, WEKA, object storage).
• Perform capacity planning, forecasting, and lifecycle management.
• Monitor performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and optimize.
• Develop automation tooling for storage provisioning and health monitoring.
• Collaborate with compute, networking, and apps teams for performance and reliability.
• Improve storage observability, alerting, and incident response processes.
• Evaluate new storage technologies including cloud storage services (AWS, GCP).
• Ensure data integrity, availability, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Document storage architecture, runbooks, and procedures.
