Job summary

Agilent Technologies Singapore (International) Pte Ltd is seeking a Digital Solutions Engineer – Platform Services to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and enterprise APIs that enable secure, real-time information exchange across manufacturing and enterprise systems.

You will collaborate with Data Engineers, AI/DS teams, and manufacturing stakeholders to build reusable platform capabilities powering digital products and analytics.

Qualifications

• Backend applications, APIs, or enterprise software experience.
• Proficiency in C#, Python, or Java.
• Understanding of API development and system integration.
• Knowledge of relational databases.
• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and distributed architectures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services.
• Build reusable APIs, microservices, and shared platform capabilities.
• Develop secure, reliable services enabling communication between systems.
• Ensure platform services are scalable, resilient, and maintainable.
• Develop integration services connecting ERP, MES, PLM, and AI platforms.
• Design API-first solutions for reuse and simplification of integration.
• Implement event-driven and asynchronous communication patterns.
• Enable secure information exchange across enterprise environments.
• Develop cloud-native apps and services using modern patterns.
• Support containerized deployments, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and observability of platforms.
• Apply secure SDLC practices and API security standards.
• Collaborate with engineers to deliver end-to-end enterprise applications.
• Expose trusted data through secure services.
