Job summary

Agilent Technologies Inc. is seeking a Digital Solutions Engineer – Platform Services to design and maintain backend services, APIs, and cloud-native platforms enabling secure, real-time information exchange across manufacturing and enterprise systems.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to build reusable platform capabilities, accelerate software delivery, and support a comprehensive digital transformation strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience developing backend applications, APIs, or enterprise software platforms.
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as C#, Python, or Java.
• Understanding of API development, system integration, and relational databases.
• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and distributed application architecture.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Passion for building scalable software platforms that enable enterprise digital transformation.

Responsibilities

• Platform Services Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services that support enterprise digital products.
• Enterprise Integration: Develop integration services connecting ERP, MES, PLM, Quality Systems, AI platforms, enterprise applications, and cloud services.
• Cloud-Native Engineering: Develop cloud-native applications and services using modern architectural patterns.
• Security & Reliability: Apply secure software development practices throughout the lifecycle; ensure authentication, authorization, and API security.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Application Experience Engineers, Data Engineers, AI & Data Scientists, Smart Factory Engineers, and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end enterprise applications.
