Job summary

BEAMO LABS PRIVATE LIMITED is building a robust payments platform in Singapore and seeks a Platform Reliability Engineer to own latency, availability, and resilience. You will work across engineers and product teams to set targets and drive improvements for critical APIs.

You will deploy and operate observability tooling, automate canary deployments, and enforce security and cost controls in GCP while reducing toil through streamlined environments and best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience building reliable payment APIs and platforms.
• Proficient in observability, incident response, and postmortem practices.
• Strong background in cloud infrastructure as code, security, and cost controls.

Responsibilities

• Define, track, and evangelize latency and availability targets for our payment APIs.
• Deploy Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Trace, Error Reporting, and dashboards; integrate alerts via Incident.io and Slack for on-call.
• Establish blameless postmortems, guardrails, and runbooks to drive learning and prevent recurrence.
• Codify Cloud Build pipelines and automated canary rollouts for Cloud Functions / Cloud Run.
• Manage GCP resources; embed security, IAM least-privilege, and cost controls by default.
• Profile hot paths (BigQuery, Firestore, Pub/Sub), and implement caching or concurrency improvements to keep user latency <100ms.
• Eliminate toil by improving local-to-prod parity, secrets management, and spinning up environments with a single command.
• Instill reliability thinking across engineering and product as the first platform-focused hire.

• Observability- Deploy Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Trace, Error Reporting, and dashboards; integrate alerts via Incident.io and Slack for on-call.
• Incident lifecycle- Establish blameless postmortems, guardrails, and runbooks to drive learning and prevent recurrence.
• CI/CD golden path- Codify Cloud Build pipelines and automated canary rollouts for Cloud Functions / Cloud Run.
• Infrastructure as Code- Manage GCP resources; embed security, IAM least-privilege, and cost controls by default.
• Performance & cost tuning- Profile hot paths (BigQuery, Firestore, Pub/Sub), and implement caching or concurrency improvements to keep user latency <100ms.
• Developer tooling- Eliminate toil by improving local-to-prod parity, secrets management, and spinning up environments with a single command.
• Culture carrier- Instill reliability thinking across engineering and product as the first platform-focused hire.
