Job description

Overview

Summary: Responsible for maintaining and supporting critical on-premises platforms and infrastructure. Ensure reliability, security, and efficiency of IT platforms while driving modernization, automation, and operational excellence. Collaborate with stakeholders to align infrastructure with enterprise architecture and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain infrastructure platforms (compute, storage, virtualization) across dev, staging, and production.
• Implement platform standards, automation, and modern operational practices to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) including capacity monitoring, optimization, and lifecycle management.
• Implement and maintain monitoring/observability solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Execute patching strategies, leveraging automation to ensure security and minimize disruptions.
• Provide L2/L3 technical support for incidents, troubleshooting, and resolution.
• Support containerization initiatives and manage container orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for provisioning and configuration (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Maintain backup, DR, and high-availability solutions for critical components.
• Follow security controls, including access management, hardening, and compliance monitoring.
• Collaborate with application teams for stability, performance, and scalability.
• Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
• Mentor team members on modern infrastructure practices.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with enterprise virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V).
• Hands-on experience with storage systems (SAN, NAS) and backup solutions.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows Server administration.
