The Platform Engineer – Store Friendly Flow & Integration will play a pivotal role in delivering the next-generation inventory, forecasting, and replenishment systems for FairPrice Group. This position will oversee the technical implementation of all integrations, ensuring they adhere to enterprise architecture standards while enabling real-time, omnichannel inventory visibility and order optimization.
As part of the Store Friendly Flow transformation initiative, the engineer will be the technical liaison between internal teams and the selected System Integrator (SI) vendor, managing both in-house and outsourced engineering resources to ensure timely, secure, and scalable delivery of system integrations.

- Enterprise Inventory System (Ocanda)
- Forecasting & Replenishment (F&R) platforms
- SAP (ERP), WMS, POS, pricing & promo engines, and 3rd-party data providers
- Collaborate with the SI partner and product managers to define technical delivery scope, sprints, and release plans
Platform and Middleware Engineering

- Ensure data contracts, interface payloads, and APIs are well-defined, version-controlled, and documented
- Oversee the setup of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring frameworks, and middleware deployment automation
Vendor Collaboration & Tech Governance
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the System Integrator (SI), vendor engineering teams, and internal DevOps/Security functions
- Manage outsourced/offshore developers and integration teams in day-to-day delivery, debugging, and testing
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture guardrails and IT security/compliance policies
Omnichannel & Quick Commerce Support
- Enable integration flows that support real-time stock status changes (e.g., pick, pack, dispatch, in-transit) for omnichannel use cases
- Collaborate with eCommerce and store systems to implement inventory visibility across nodes (DCs, stores, FCs, 3PL)
Operational Stability & Observability
- Ensure all integrations are performant, scalable, and resilient under real-world retail loads
- Build dashboards for message health, latency, failure/retry analytics, and SLA monitoring
Architecture Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all integrations align with FairPrice’s enterprise-wide architecture principles
- Maintain system interface documentation, configuration logs, and integration maps for all connected systems

- Proven experience with tools such as Mulesoft, SAP Integration Suite (BTP), Boomi, Kafka, or GCP Pub/Sub.
- Deep understanding of system integration patterns (event-driven, RESTful, batch, pub/sub) and interface protocols (JSON, XML, EDI).
- Experience managing external vendors and SI partners, ensuring deliverables align with internal product, security, and architecture requirements.
- Hands-on knowledge of POS, WMS, ERP (SAP), and eCommerce fulfillment systems.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, monitoring (e.g., DataDog, ELK), and infrastructure automation.
- Strong communication and documentation skills to work across multiple business and technical teams.

- You are equally comfortable getting hands-on with technical systems and explaining architecture to non-tech stakeholders.
- You’re passionate about enabling store operations, real-time fulfillment, and resilient backend systems.
- You want to be part of a transformation that redefines grocery replenishment and inventory visibility across one of Singapore’s most iconic retail groups.
