Squarepoint SERVICES SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks a Platform Specialist to join our global PLC team. You will architect, develop, and optimize compute platforms, focusing on automation, observability, and self-healing infrastructure for data-intensive workloads.

Ideal candidates bring strong Linux administration, IaC, cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure), and hands-on coding skills in Python/Go/Rust. This is a senior, hands-on engineering role with mentoring responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Expert-level Linux systems administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
• Configuration management tooling (Ansible, Chef, SaltStack).
• Proficient in Python, Go, or Rust for infra tooling.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure (compute, storage, networking, IAM).
• Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi).
• Monitoring/alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Zabbix).
• Logging/tracing (ELK, Fluentd, OpenTelemetry, Jaeger).
• Identity/access management (LDAP, Kerberos, OAuth2).
• Cloud-native services (S3, EBS, GKE, EKS, Cloud Functions).
• Git-based workflows and version control.
• Agile methodologies and DevOps culture.
• Test-driven infrastructure development and automated testing frameworks.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD).
• Hybrid cloud/workload migration strategies.
• Virtualization technologies (KVM, VMware, Hyper-V).
• Contributions to open-source infrastructure projects or internal platforms.
• Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
• Secure system design and hardening (SELinux, AppArmor, CIS benchmarks).
• Netbox IPAM with custom modules.

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve scalable compute platforms using modern infra engineering practices.
• Design and implement automation frameworks for provisioning, configuration mgmt, and lifecycle ops.
• Develop internal tooling and APIs to abstract infrastructure complexity and boost productivity.
• Participate in bulk server provisioning, including remote hands tasks.
• Drive observability initiatives by building telemetry pipelines (metrics, logs, traces).
• Collaborate with software teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Participate in on-call, incident response and postmortems, driving long-term improvements through automation.
