Job summary

Hunter Bond is seeking a Platform Engineer to focus on reliability for a low-latency Linux estate. The role blends Platform / DevOps with SRE, emphasizing uptime, availability and automation.

You will work on both project work and BAU, building infrastructure and automating processes using Kubernetes, Docker/Podman, Chef/Puppet/Ansible, and Python to drive efficient platform operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux-based platforms and low-latency systems.
• Experience configuring and maintaining infrastructure with Chef, Puppet or Ansible.
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, Podman) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python scripting and automation.

My client are seeking a knowledgeable Platform Engineer to work on their low latency Linux estate.

This role sits somewhere in between Platform / DevOps based work, and SRE. There is a focus on uptime, reliability and availability, whilst also conducting the necessary engineering, project work and infrastructure building that Platform work demands.

You will work in both a project and BAU capacity, automating wherever possible.
