You will own solutions end-to-end, from design through deployment and production support, while balancing security, cost and maintainability. The role welcomes engineers who can work across DevOps, SWE or platform disciplines, collaborate with stakeholders, and deliver high-quality, observable systems in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Ownership from requirements and design through implementation, testing, deployment and production support.
• Investigate root causes, question assumptions and understand the problem behind the request.
• Balance delivery timelines, security, maintainability, cost, operational complexity and long-term sustainability.
• Turn business problems and high-level requirements into practical technical solutions amid ambiguity.
• Emphasize testing, maintainability, observability and security as part of engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build new citizen- or officer-facing digital products.
• Develop APIs and backend services.
• Build modern frontend applications.
• Develop secure data ingestion and ETL pipelines.
• Integrate systems across government agencies and partners.
• Modernise existing Java or platform-based applications.
• Build cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Improve automated testing and engineering quality.
• Establish observability and operational practices.
• Implement security and compliance controls.
• Create reusable engineering capabilities adopted by multiple teams.
• Work on greenfield and brownfield projects within a platform-end-to-end context.
