Join to apply for the Platform Engineer role at Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies (CSIT).

You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for researching, exploring, and adopting the latest cloud technologies to modernise platform services and solutions. You must have a good understanding of IT architecture, System Design, Application & System Integration, DevSecOps, and Site Reliability Engineering. Our ideal team member will design workflows and interfaces to optimise platform services for system delivery, performance, scalability, reliability, and extensibility.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Infrastructure Platforms and Platform Services using Platform Engineering best practices.
• Monitor system telemetry to analyse performance, security, and reliability.
• Document configurations and processes related to platform use.
• Collaborate with developers and infrastructure stakeholders to understand their needs.
• Review and identify areas for improvement to optimise platform services for system delivery, performance, scalability, reliability, and extensibility.
• Research emerging technologies to incorporate into the platform.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience, including scripting and programming.
• Knowledge of IT Infrastructure (Networks, Communications, Data Centre Management) and Infra Operations.
• Proficient in scripting & programming frameworks like PowerShell, Ansible, vRA, Python, Terraform, Linux shell scripts, etc.
• Experience in software development practices such as DevOps, SDLC, Agile.
• Understanding of cloud services from providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• System operations and administration experience on enterprise systems.

Nice-to-Haves

• Cloud certifications such as AWS or Azure certifications.
• CNCF certifications, e.g., CKA.

Note: As CSIT is an agency under the Ministry of Defence (Singapore), only Singapore Citizens will be considered.
