Job summary

NCS Group in Singapore seeks a DevOps/Platform Engineer to embed automation, security, and operability into the AI COE platform. You will ensure scalable, secure, and observable platform services across teams, enabling enterprise-grade AI and data platforms.

The role emphasizes running Kubernetes-based deployments, implementing IaC with Terraform, and advancing CI/CD automation while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to improve platform adoption and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in DevOps or platform engineering roles.
• Experience supporting shared platforms or multi-tenant environments.
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code and Terraform or equivalent.
• Proven experience with CI/CD automation for cloud-native platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm deployment patterns.
• Proficiency in observability tooling: OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo.
• Understanding of sidecar patterns and service-level operational practices.
• Familiarity with secure pipeline practices and policy enforcement concepts.

Responsibilities

• Platform Automation & CI/CD: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, standardize deployment/release processes, reusable automation artifacts, IaC implementation.
• Security & Compliance: Implement security controls in delivery pipelines and enforce policy compliance.
• Platform Observability & Operations: Operate and enhance observability tooling, monitor health and reliability, troubleshoot issues, collaborate with Platform AI Engineers and other teams, drive reliability improvements.

You will be part of the AI Center of Excellence (AI COE), a centralized platform team responsible for building, operating, and evolving enterprise-grade AI and data platforms consumed by multiple internal engineering and project teams.

The AI COE operates as a platform product organization, not a project delivery or system integration team. It owns shared capabilities end-to-end, including integration services, AI enablement, developer tooling, observability, and governance. Success is measured by platform adoption, usability, reliability, and long-term value, rather than one-off delivery milestones.

In this role, you will embed automation, security, and operability into the AI COE platform. You will ensure platform services are provisioned, deployed, and operated in a secure, repeatable, and observable manner.

What will you do?

Platform Automation & CI/CD

• Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for platform and AI services
• Standardize deployment and release processes across the platform
• Develop and maintain reusable automation artifacts and templates
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or equivalent tools

Security & Compliance

• Implement security controls within delivery pipelines
• Enforce policy compliance and secure pipeline practices
• Ensure platform services meet enterprise security standards

Platform Observability & Operations

• Operate and enhance platform observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo)
• Implement sidecar and service-level operational patterns
• Monitor platform health, performance, and reliability metrics
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues proactively
• Collaborate closely with Platform AI Engineers and other platform teams
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for platform reliability and usability
• Contribute to platform adoption strategies and developer experience enhancements

The ideal candidate should possess:

• 3–5 years of experience in DevOps or platform engineering roles
• Open to a contractual role
• Experience supporting shared platforms or multi-tenant environments
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent)
• Proven experience with CI/CD automation for cloud-native platforms
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and Helm deployment patterns
• Proficiency in observability tooling: OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo
• Understanding of sidecar patterns and service-level operational practices
• Familiarity with secure pipeline practices and policy enforcement concepts
• Automation-first mindset with strong attention to security and reliability
• Platform ownership mentality and commitment to continuous improvement
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work across multidisciplinary teams
