Job summary

NCS Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Technical Architect (Platform Architect) to own the design, governance, and technical integrity of enterprise data platforms for government digital services. You will lead platform design, build, migration, and optimisation across cloud and hybrid environments, ensuring compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.

You will mentor engineers, define standards, and drive stability, security, and efficiency across multiple agency platforms.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in platform architecture, infrastructure engineering, or data engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure, and modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Hadoop ecosystems.
• Experience in government or highly regulated environments is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, IAM, data services, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Proven ability to bridge architecture intent with real‑world engineering execution.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern enterprise data platform architectures, covering cloud infrastructure, data services, security, and integration layers.
• Define platform standards, reference architectures, and reusable components aligned to government accreditation needs.
• Ensure architectural consistency and long‑term sustainability across multiple agency platforms.
• Provide deep technical leadership on platform build, migration, and optimisation initiatives across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Review and approve low‑level designs, configurations, and technical implementations.
• Guide engineering teams on reliability, performance, scalability, and cost optimisation.
• Act as a trusted technical authority, resolving complex platform and infrastructure challenges.
• Translate high‑level architecture into actionable technical guidance for engineering teams.
• Support hands‑on troubleshooting, performance tuning, and platform stabilisation when required.
• Mentor engineers and uplift platform engineering capability across teams.
