Job summary

Qualifications

Degree/Masters in Polymers Sciences, Material Science, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
At least 2 years of relevant working experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
Ability to drive continuous improvement using RCA and lean tools.
Good communication and time management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Monitor the existing production process with focus on problematic products.
Establish processing conditions for equipment and improve production efficiency.
Develop new production process methods based on applications and formulations.
Resolve production issues by integrating with Manufacturing and Technology.
Conduct plant trials to qualify new processes and scale up to production.
Lead lean initiatives (5S, value stream mapping) to eliminate waste and improve workflow.
Improve overall production quality and assist in setting performance standards.
Participate in new product process transfers between plants.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Collaborate on cross-functional improvement projects to drive cost reductions.
