Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• At least 10 years of technical experience in project management within a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication skills with a global cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross functional teams in planning and execution of New Product Development, Modifications and capacity expansion.
• Provide strong leadership to influence team members, management and external contacts.
• Lead and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams for project kick-off, scope, objectives, expectations, and deliverables including timelines, samples, and budget.
• Create and manage the overall project schedule, define critical path, monitor activities, and hold team members accountable to meet deadlines and escalate issues.
• Review project processes and provide updated status reports to team members and management.

Your Job

We are seeking for a Plant Project Management Engineer (PJM) to lead assigned projects and ensure their success. You will be responsible for managing product family projects from start to finish, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and closure. Your role involves leading company-wide resource distribution for product families, understanding and adhering to NPI (New Product Introduction) procedures, deploying PBM (Principled Based Management) culture, and participating in the continuous enhancement of NPI and PDP (Product Development Process) systems.

Our Team

You will be a part of the DSS division at Molex Singapore, working closely with all functional departments within the organization. Your role will involve significant interaction with internal teams and external contacts, including vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors, fostering strong collaborative relationships to drive project success.

What You Will Do

• Lead and facilitate cross functional teams in the planning and execution of projects related to New Product Development, Modifications and capacity expansion.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively influence team members, management, and external contacts to drive positive project outcomes.
• Lead and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams for project kick off, project meetings, definition of project scope, objectives, expectations, and deliverables, including project timelines, sample build and budget.
• Initiate, build, and manage overall project schedule, define critical path, monitor project activities, and hold functional team members accountable to meet agreed deadlines and communicate status report and timely escalation critical issues.
• Review project process and provide updated status report to team members and management.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• At least 10 years of technical experience, with a strong focus on project management in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a global, cross-functional team.
• Familiarity with New Product Introduction (NPI) project development procedures.
• Demonstrated leadership with a can-do attitude and a strong sense of urgency.
