Job description

Job Summary: The Plant Health Care Team are specialists dedicated to inspecting plant material, identifying problems, and ethically treating or preventing issues faced by trees and shrubs. They act as our team of 'detectives', viewing each plant disease or infestation as a puzzle to solve. This role offers outdoor work opportunities and visits to beautiful properties within your community.

What a day is like: The focus is on maintaining the health of trees and shrubs in a specific territory. Responsibilities include monitoring, diagnosing, and treating pest or disease infestations, selecting appropriate treatments, interacting with clients, providing diagnostic reports, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

What kind of person are we looking for:

  • A desire to grow, opportunity-driven, loves problem solving and process improvement
  • A Degree in Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Plant Pathology, Environmental Sciences, Landscape Management, Turfgrass, or related experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and responsibly
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A willingness to learn: tree/plant identification, safe use of spray equipment

Essential requirements:

  • Willingness to complete necessary training and certifications
  • Desire to work outdoors
  • Valid driver's license
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
