Job summary

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all plant equipment reliability and usability: review and plan equipment service and replacement schedules, conduct root cause analysis for complex breakdowns, prepare detailed reports, and recommend equipment modifications.
  • Oversee schedules for plant equipment overhauls and SDM service tasks, and respond to urgent breakdown incidents.
  • Optimize equipment efficiency by reviewing and developing service, maintenance, and overhaul SOPs and master plans.
  • Monitor and ensure plant compliance with MOM safety regulations; manage monthly PM execution, SDM equipment service, replacement, and overhaul.
  • Handle statutory yearly inspections and certifications, troubleshoot equipment issues, and manage inventory updates.
  • Review, prepare, and provide input for risk assessments; evaluate maintenance strategies and identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Manage and supervise contractors’ work, negotiate proposals, review reports, manage project costs and milestones, and oversee RM costs.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet required specifications.
  • Review vendor contracts, recommend contractor performance, conduct service audits, and liaise with UMT HQ technical team for process improvement and equipment issues.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Plant Engineer in chemical plant.
  • Familiarity with ESH regulations.
  • Good data analysis skills.
