Job summary

RTX is seeking a Production Planning Specialist in Singapore to plan, schedule and expedite shop-floor activities to meet production schedules and ensure on-time delivery. You will minimize overdues and maintain optimum inventory levels while complying with SOPs and SAP.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing Engineering, and strong analytical, MS Office and SAP skills. Onsite work with cross-functional coordination and continuous improvement.

Job Summary

Plan, schedule and expedite shop‑floor activities to meet production schedules and ensure on‑time delivery to customers. Minimize over dues and maintain inventory at an optimum level. Comply with system integrity.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Analyze material flow and utilize production scheduling techniques to manage cell planning and production schedules to support on‑time delivery to customers.
  • Review daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance results to identify trends and opportunities to take corrective and continuous improvement actions.
  • Monitor and manage input/output and WIP based on demand to achieve optimum inventory levels with maximum performance and minimum delay.
  • Support material planning group to meet delivery and inventory turn performance goals.
  • Provide support in material issues related to engineering changes and new product start up.
  • Analyze demand fluctuations, load changes, capacity requirements etc.
  • Close coordination with inter‑departments to resolve planning/scheduling/shipment related issues.
  • Comply with standard operational practices, methods, procedures and SAP system updates.
  • Depth of experiences/ knowledge to provide coaching and guidance to coworker.
  • Participate and initiate continuous improvement activities.
  • Liaise with internal/external customers when required.
Qualification and Education Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing Engineering

Preferred Skills (if any)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Good analytical skills and working knowledge of spreadsheets, pivot tables and databases.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities under tight time‑lines.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team player with high standards of performance and personal integrity.
Role Type

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process.
For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through University Degree combined with experience. Practical knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work. Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
