Planner – Resort & Urban Design

Job summary

WATG International is seeking a Planner to join our Singapore office. The role collaborates with architects and project teams to design and coordinate resort, residential, and urban planning projects, developing land-use programs and development plans.

The Planner will support various project phases, producing drawings, sketches, and reports while mentoring junior staff and ensuring quality alignment with design intent. A Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of planning experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional education.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in planning, urban design/planning, or resort planning.
• Working toward a professional registration, such as AICP.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp.
• Knowledge of Rhino and Revit; any programming language is a plus.
• Basic database knowledge and experience with GIS geodatabases, Microsoft Access, or SQL.
• Basic knowledge of Midjourney and latest AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Conducts project research and analysis with rigorous thinking and reporting.
• Coordinates planning activities for multiple complex projects throughout all phases.
• Produces drawings, sketches, diagrams, schedules, and documents.
• Directs less experienced team members and ensures design concepts meet quality standards.
• Collaborates with clients and internal teams to align deliverables with design intent.
• Delivers planning outputs across resort and residential projects.
