Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Draft drawings and construction documents under supervision.
  • Prepare site designs including grading and planting.
  • Develop diagrams, renderings, and conceptual graphics.

Join to apply for the Landscape Designer role at WATG and Wimberly Interiors in our Singapore office.

Founded in Honolulu in 1945, we specialize in hospitality, gaming, entertainment, urban + mixed‑use and high‑end residential design, always grounded in community strengths, sustainability and stewardship of natural surroundings.

Role

The Landscape Designer works with the project team and assists in the overall development of project design, site plans, specifications and production of presentation drawings and sketches. The Landscape Designer assists in finding design solutions in the various project phases to challenging resort, residential and urban planning design concepts. Under close mentoring, the Landscape Designer supports the team in completing the various phases of a project.

Responsibilities
  • Work on a full range of assignments, including developing progressive solutions to design challenges under direct supervision of a more senior team member.
  • Assist with the production of drawings and construction documents, collaborating with the team to ensure WATG’s quality standards are met.
  • Prepare site designs, including grading, hardscape, water feature, and planting design.
  • Develop and coordinate diagrams, renderings and conceptual graphics.
  • Complete design sketches, presentation drawings, diagrams and schedules.
  • Contribute to layout studies.
  • Conduct code research, write specifications and coordinate permitting as needed.
  • Grasp design concepts and express them graphically.
  • Perform benchmarking research on programming, comparable projects and images.
  • Foster a commitment to external and internal client services.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Landscape Architecture.
  • Recent graduate with 4+ years of experience in landscape architecture and/or site design.
  • Environmental accreditation preferred.
  • Proficient technical knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp, Illustrator and AutoCAD; Revit and Rhino experience preferred.
  • Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills, visualization, and digital graphic skills.
  • Experience with developing concept plans at different scales.
  • Effective communication skills in verbal presentation, written narrative and graphic representation.
  • Ability to manage multiple project priorities and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
