We invite application for the position of Planner (Instrumentation, Electrical & Controls Specialist) to join our Maintenance team. This role is critical in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient upkeep of all Instrumentation, Electrical, and Control systems across the plant. The successful candidate will combine the structured discipline of maintenance planning with deep technical expertise to support both routine operations and major shutdowns.
A. Key Responsibilities
- IEC Planning & Preparation
- Develop comprehensive work orders in CMMS with clear scope, resources, and permits.
- Prepare detailed job packs including drawings, compliance requirements, spares, and tools.
- Coordinate with stores and contractors to ensure timely availability of materials and services. Support planning meetings and contribute to preventive maintenance schedules.
- Technical Validation & Compliance
- Integrate IEC scope into shutdown/turnaround master schedules.
- Break down complex jobs into executable packages.
- Ensure documentation and compliance checks are completed pre-startup.
- Provide technical input for tenders and project evaluations.
- Scheduler Support
- Align IEC activities with other disciplines to avoid conflicts.
- Track job progress and update CMMS.
- Report on schedule adherence and man-hour utilization.
- Continuous Improvement
- Support RCFA investigations with accurate technical data.
- Optimize maintenance intervals and standardize job templates.
- Maintain and update engineering documentation and equipment files.
- Assist in budget preparation and performance reporting.
- General Responsibilities
- Uphold APS Operational Excellence (OE) standards.
- Promote safety and compliance through training and coordination.
B. Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering.
- 10–15 years of IEC maintenance experience, with at least 5 years in planning or supervisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of IEC compliance in hazardous/process industries.
- Proven experience in shutdown/turnaround planning and execution.
C. Skills & Competencies
- Deep understanding of IEC standards and cGMP requirements.
- Proficiency in planning tools (SAP, Primavera, MS Project).
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead technical discussions and coordinate across disciplines.
