Job summary

BAKER ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced piping engineer for marine/offshore projects. You will develop piping layouts, create 3D models, prepare isometrics and BOMs, and ensure constructability through drawing guidelines.

Coordinate with QA/QC, production, and clients; conduct site visits; review submittals; ensure compliance with QSHE. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Caesar II is valued, with strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in marine/offshore with a Diploma in mechanical or marine engineering.
• Experience in newbuild and conversion of AHTS.
• Familiarity with Marine & Offshore rules, regulations and requirements.
• Good communication skills; meticulous and multi-tasking.

Responsibilities

• Prepare piping layouts and isometrics with BOM.
• Provide 3D piping models and pipe support drawings.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, production, and client.
• Conduct site visits to verify conditions and resolve issues.
• Develop PFDs and P&IDs for process piping installations.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Prepare piping arrangement or piping layout
• 3D model on piping system
• pipe support drawing
• piping isometric drawing including BOM and construction spool drawing
• Prepare and update piping construction guideline drawings for constructability
• Understand and able to develop/update piping specifications and piping system weight and centre gravity (W&CG) study
• Coordinate work and integrate with other engineering disciplines, production, QA/QC & client
• Check submittals and prepare the installation or construction drawing when needed
• Perform site visits to solving the engineering problem when required to determine existing conditions or verify new construction
• Develop and check PFDs and P&IDs such as process piping installation work and marine & offshore industry
• Coordinate / execute contract specification requirements and production inputs into engineering drawing /document
• Provide progress reporting and schedule management of engineering deliverables
• Coordinate with other production team members, subcontractors and consultants to resolve technical issues onsite which affect the piping schedule and project deliverables
• Meet with vendors, client reps, accreditation representatives when required
• Review and reply to class comments
• Perform any other tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor
• Ensure compliance to relevant government regulations and company's quality, safety, health and environmental (QSHE) policies, practices and procedures at all times

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience working in a marine/offshore industry and a Diploma in mechanical or marine or related engineering discipline or minimum 6 years working in a marine/offshore industry
• Prior experience in newbuild and conversion of AHTS
• Familiarity with Marine & Offshore rules, regulations and requirements
• Good communication skills, meticulous, resourceful, able to multi-task
• A team player with the ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Able to perform system pipe sizing (e.g. pipe thickness &system pressure drop) and pipe support span calculation
• Computer literary (MS. Office and Auto CAD), proficient in CAESERII Software will be added advantage
