Job summary

A leading company in drilling services is seeking candidates with a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Marine, or Structural Engineering. The role requires strong engineering knowledge, particularly in reading drawings and knowledge of structural steel fabrication processes. Candidates with some workshop experience and good interpersonal skills are preferred for this role based in Tuas, with transport provided from the MRT station.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in structural steel fabrication.
• Good understanding of welding and fabrication methods.
• Desirable workshop background.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow Isometric and general Engineering layout drawings.
• Understand basic steelwork, pipes, fittings, and bracketry.
• Involvement in on-the-job training within the mill.

Job description

• Requires an Engineering basic knowledge & understanding ideally in Pipe, fittings, and Bracketry with basic steelwork
  

• Fully understand how to read and follow Isometric drawings.
  

• Understand and follow general Engineering layout and line drawings.
  

• Desirably good to have Workshop background.
  

• Does not require to know the functions of equipment (this learning will be achieved with on the job involvement inside the mill).
  

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Marine, Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  

• 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in structural steel fabrication.
  

• Good knowledge of manufacturing process such as welding and structural fabrication methods.
  

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  

• Working location is Tuas. Transportation to/from MRT station are provided.
