• Design and review piping and layout studies, including 3D modeling.

Job description

Mission: Manage a team of Piping and Layout Draftsmen on a project to carry out the piping and layout part of installations, including 3D CAD modeling and construction drawings, in accordance with technical, budget, and schedule targets under the responsibility of the project Piping and Layout Leader or Piping Engineers.

Tasks:

1. Execute activities within own area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with QA/QC and HSE requirements.
2. Develop technology know-how and provide commercial support.
3. Participate in feasibility studies, bidding phases, and commercial proposal development.
4. Design, execute, or review typical piping and layout studies, including 3D modeling, clash detection, and issuing reports.
5. Create construction or design drawings using 2D software or extracted from 3D models, including plot plans, equipment layouts, piping arrangements, isometrics, and supports.
6. Extract bills of materials and other data from the 3D CAD model.
7. Organize team work and follow up on resource planning.
8. Coordinate work with other disciplines and team members.
9. Check input data and documentation issued by the team.
10. Ensure assumptions are aligned with project developments and report anomalies.
11. Supervise document updates after reviews by other disciplines or stakeholders.
12. Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned.
13. Support construction and startup activities on-site, including material management and engineering support during construction phases.
